About the position

The Product Manager for the Authorizations Data Platform at Capital One is responsible for enhancing the platform that processes millions of spend decisions daily for credit and debit cards. This role focuses on improving data ingestion and transformation capabilities to optimize authorization decisions, reduce fraud, and enhance customer experience. The ideal candidate will leverage technical expertise, customer insights, and business acumen to drive product strategy and execution.

Responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of the customer journey using the authorizations platform.
• Define clear, actionable problem statements rooted in customer feedback.
• Leverage customer insights to influence product priorities and roadmap development.
• Own and prioritize the product roadmap utilizing data to define success metrics.
• Support internal customers in using the platform to deliver business value initiatives.
• Shape end-state architecture vision and drive design decisions in partnership with engineering.
• Maintain awareness of the Capital One enterprise data ecosystem and adopt best practices.
• Lead and facilitate agile ceremonies alongside tech leads.
• Create reusable, extensible, and resilient capabilities while identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Communicate the vision, product strategy, and roadmap to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Develop partnerships with internal customers to deliver features that enhance the platform.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or military experience.
• At least 3 years of product management experience or experience in product design, agile delivery, business analysis, data science, or software engineering.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• MBA or Master's degree.
• 2+ years of experience in Agile product management.
