About the position

The Manager, Product Management - Risk Management at Capital One is responsible for driving innovative and sustainable customer experiences through technology. This role focuses on reimagining product management by collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver cutting-edge solutions that enhance customer financial management. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with tech teams to build comprehensive acceptance criteria and identify research needs for future feature design.
  • Break down business epics into features and user stories, driving the team towards Minimal Viable Product (MVP) for valid feature tests.
  • Use hypothesis-driven assessment of data to ensure product features deliver on real business needs.
  • Own and prioritize feature development roadmaps, managing necessary processes and procedures to mitigate risk.
  • Conduct research and develop features utilizing new and evolving technology in an agile environment.
  • Collaborate with designers, technologists, data scientists, and subject-matter experts to build innovative solutions.
  • Develop frameworks for complex decision-making to enable effective debate and accelerate problem-solving.
  • Articulate a succinct product roadmap to deliver business value and share with stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience.
  • At least 3 years of product management experience or equivalent experience in product design, agile delivery, business analysis, data science, or software engineering.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
  • MBA or Master's degree.
  • 2+ years of experience in Agile product management.
  • 1+ year managing a data product.
