About the position

The Lead Product Manager for the One Identity initiative at PayPal will oversee the development of a unified identity system that enhances customer experiences across multiple consumer brands. This high-visibility role is crucial for impacting hundreds of millions of customers globally, ensuring that the identity solutions are secure, scalable, and user-friendly. The position requires a strategic thinker who can collaborate across various teams to drive product development and deliver best-in-class solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Think strategically and creatively to gather merchant and customer insights and help define the product vision and strategy for a new Identity product.
  • Engage with all relevant cross-functional teams (business development, program managers, development, UX, analytics, legal) to foster sponsorship and mobilize required resources for engineering product development.
  • Develop product roadmap and GTM strategies for your product.
  • Define detailed product requirements, scope, ship, KPIs, measure features and use rapid cycles to iterate and learn.
  • Drive product development by building end to end solutions with a team of world-class engineers and designers, and ship a first iteration of the product.
  • Understand PayPal's strategic and competitive position and deliver products that are recognized as best in class.
  • Build trust and effective relationships with peers/cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 8 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 5 years experience; or equivalent experience.
  • Strong analytical and data visualization skills.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and thrive in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities - you can cut through the noise and laser focus on what really matters.
  • Experience working with internet technologies, or the payments industry is desirable.
  • Experience with qualitative and quantitative methodologies to understand customers and an ability to explore and structure customers' insights.
  • Strong ability to translate product needs to technology and to understand technology.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team player with ability to interface and build relations at all levels.
