About the position

The Product Management Manager at Marathon Special Products (MSP) is responsible for directing the product portfolio and driving product strategy and execution. This role is crucial for the growth of the business, requiring a strong background in product management and excellent leadership skills. The position can be onsite, hybrid, or remote, with travel expectations varying based on the work arrangement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead a comprehensive product strategy and roadmap for Marathon Special Products.
• Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to influence the product roadmap.
• Translate market analysis and voice of the customer to develop Product Direction Statements.
• Collaborate with engineering, marketing, and manufacturing teams to design, develop, and launch new products.
• Manage the entire product lifecycle, from concept to end-of-life.
• Define market pricing strategies and product positioning.
• Monitor product market position and performance, analyze sales data, and recommend improvements.
• Develop product training and support to stakeholders.
• Conduct market research to understand customer pain points, preferences, and emerging trends.
• Identify threats and substitutes to product categories and develop strategies to mitigate impact.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• Proven experience in product management.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to drive product strategy and execution.
