About the position

The Product Manager for the Self Service Platform at Capital One will play a crucial role in shaping the future of the company's financial services by building a scalable and flexible platform. This position focuses on understanding customer needs, collaborating with technology and business experts, and ensuring stakeholder engagement throughout the product development process. The role emphasizes product management skills, particularly in a highly regulated financial environment, and aims to create innovative and user-friendly solutions that enhance customer experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Chart the path for Capital One's future by building an accurate, scalable, and flexible platform.
  • Collaborate with various Lines of Business to understand and translate financial events into platform capabilities.
  • Own and prioritize the product roadmap to deliver on business outcomes and define success metrics.
  • Leverage customer insights to influence feature development and advocate for stakeholder alignment.
  • Develop and communicate a 6-month vision to senior stakeholders and partner teams, ensuring transparency on risks and impediments.
  • Contribute to team culture and recruiting by mentoring junior product associates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience.
  • At least 3 years of product management experience or experience in product design, agile delivery, business analysis, data science, or software engineering.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
  • MBA or Master's degree.
  • 2+ years of experience in Agile product management.
