About the position

Andersen Consulting is seeking an experienced product management professional to help grow our global digital consulting practice. This individual will have a proven record working and collaborating with clients to develop and execute product strategies to transform their businesses through disruptive digital solutions. As we expand our team, we are looking for passionate, result-oriented and experienced product management professionals to join our team of digital professionals, who are adept at project delivery, can thrive in ambiguous, complex environments, and has deep and demonstrated experience delivering solutions to market to join our team. This role includes: As a product manager, you will help our clients achieve and sustain competitive advantage and profitability by developing digital strategies, products and platforms to stay ahead of the rapid pace of change and support the execution of multi-year complex transformations. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team including user experience experts, architects and engineers to define and launch products and platform for large global organizations. You will take a customer-centric, data-driven approach to product development.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting client engagements by leading segments of the delivery teams, monitoring progress, and demonstrating in-depth technical capabilities and product management knowledge
  • Supporting teams throughout the product development lifecycle by facilitating discussions with technical, design and business subject-matter resources, documenting requirements, establishing a vision, and leading product delivery and launch efforts.
  • Overseeing the design, development and deployment teams to ensure alignment to product requirements, and adherence to client timelines
  • Provide expert guidance on best practices in product management and software development
  • Mentoring and developing junior team members and fostering an environment of collaboration, mutual respect and continuous learning.
  • Effectively work with client engagement teams with diverse skills and backgrounds fostering an innovative and inclusive work environment.
  • Managing project budgets, timelines and resources to ensure successful delivery
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships and networks and cultivate business development opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience in the consulting industry and a distinctive record of professional achievement and impact.
  • Manager-level (or equivalent title) experience at a tier one consulting firm or equivalent-level position in industry.
  • Experienced product manager with a proven record track record of leading product development projects from concept to launch and working with global, diverse, multidisciplinary digital teams.
  • Demonstrated experience setting product vision, defining & managing product roadmaps, prioritizing & managing backlogs, and leading product launches.
  • Strong understanding of Agile and scrum methodologies
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Domain experience across the financial service industry sectors (banking & capital markets, insurance, wealth & investment management, private equity) is preferred.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex ideas to diverse business and technical audiences - both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Exceptional attention to detail to ensure the highest standards of quality in all client deliverables
  • Experience scoping/sizing projects, staffing teams with the appropriate skill set, managing project budgets and timelines and managing the delivering of an engagement workstream
  • Willingness to travel based on the client need up to 50%
