HOURGLASS COSMETICS is seeking a Manager of Product Marketing who will play a pivotal role in supporting the ongoing management of the global product assortment and the development and delivery of the global portfolio strategy. This includes overseeing the 3-year newness calendar and innovation pipeline. The successful candidate will help define and shape differentiated product positioning and marketing strategies across all categories of business. Reporting directly to the Sr. Director of Product Marketing, the Manager will ensure that the portfolio strategy aligns with the brand's pillars of innovation and high performance, enhances the overarching brand story, and drives growth and market share across key accounts and regions. The ideal candidate is an analytical, forward-thinking, and innovative product marketer who possesses a passion for the beauty category. This role requires a blend of strategy and creativity, with diligent project management skills and the ability to self-prioritize to meet deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail. Superior communication skills and confidence in managing varying levels of stakeholders are essential for success in this position. In this role, you will support the development of a 3-year product roadmap that spans global new product launches, regional/channel/key account exclusives, and sampling initiatives, ensuring all align with strategic brand and commercial direction. You will perform regular category analytics and assist with the articulation of long-term category evolution strategies. Collaboration with Product Development on new product briefs, differentiated product strategies, and ingredient/formula performance narratives will be a key responsibility, focusing on core franchises and purpose programs. Additionally, you will liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure all category launches meet financial objectives, leveraging pricing, COGs, and forecast guidelines, while delivering against original concepts backed by clinical and consumer testing support. The role also involves conducting competitive pricing analysis to support the global pricing strategy for respective category/project launches, as well as developing all written communication relating to product strategy, including product story, naming architecture, pack copy, and differentiating benefits and claims information. You will lead ongoing competitor and industry analysis and reporting to help identify white space opportunities and strategies to enhance the existing portfolio. Regular analyses of product and category performance relative to goals and competitive trends will be required, utilizing POS and NPD/Circana data, and you will help develop tracking tools and dashboards as necessary. Staying current on consumer trends and market innovations across all relevant industries will be crucial, as will tracking and analyzing product sales and consumer feedback to ensure key insights and learnings are identified for immediate action and future product strategy evolution.
