About the position

The Manager, Product Marketing at Markwins Beauty Brands is responsible for overseeing the product development process for new and existing cosmetic products. This role requires a blend of creativity and attention to detail to ensure timely and high-quality product launches that align with brand goals. The position involves collaboration with various teams, trend analysis, and management of product specifications, pricing, and market compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize and brainstorm new products through collaboration with Marketing, R&D, Sourcing, and Manufacturing teams.
  • Lead the briefing process for new product launches, ensuring clear communication on specifications and timelines.
  • Ensure timely submissions and approvals of product attributes and performance.
  • Develop and maintain budgets, product volume forecasts, and Cost of Goods targets.
  • Collaborate with the Brand Marketing team for cohesive product presentation and packaging execution.
  • Deliver samples for retailer meetings, PR events, and advertising development.
  • Develop and maintain pricing strategy for North America.
  • Liaise with the International team for global compliance of products.
  • Ensure brand messaging and product benefits are reflected in packaging copy and design.
  • Evaluate competitive products and present comprehensive analyses.
  • Conduct post-launch analyses for SKU rationalization and product assortment strategy.
  • Present at internal sales and external retailer meetings.
  • Travel to factories and vendors for product development and approval.
  • Field products and concepts through market research and solicit sales feedback.
  • Manage, coach, and develop product marketing talent.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of work experience in product marketing, specifically in color cosmetics.
  • Excellent leadership skills and experience in managing teams.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple complex projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and demonstrate financial acumen.
