About the position

The Manager of Product & Promotional Development for the Lottery Games at the State Lottery Commission is responsible for maximizing net profits across all Lottery product lines. This role involves managing the development of new products and systems, creating and overseeing promotions, and handling budgetary tasks in collaboration with the Lottery's advertising agency. The position requires detailed analysis of sales trends and the ability to adapt strategies based on market research and performance data.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day business needs for Lottery products.
  • Create, maintain, and implement Lottery games and promotions as well as new product development.
  • Analyze product sales and manage changes as needed.
  • Order and manage distribution and inventory of promotional items and agent supplies.
  • Manage budgetary tasks related to the Lottery's relationship with the advertising agency.
  • Oversee timetables associated with new and ongoing advertising campaigns and promotions.
  • Analyze product sales results before and after advertising buys and promotional campaigns.
  • Work with ad agency accounting contact to maintain and organize all pertinent documentation.
  • Perform other advertising-related tasks as assigned.
  • Cooperate with other Lottery departments as needed.
  • Supervise personnel affiliated with Lottery games and graphic design.
  • Research and analyze market trends, new concepts, advertising, and promotional ideas for increased revenue.
  • Represent the Lottery at public events related to marketing and promotional efforts, including occasional nights and weekends.
  • Manage approved changes and plan requirements for research projects to support future changes in product lines.
  • Establish annual market plans including sales objectives, promotional plans, and costs associated with each.

Requirements
