About the position

The Manager of Product Sales Support at Gildan is responsible for managing the development of design blocks for the Global Lifestyle brands. This role serves as a liaison between customers and Central American development teams, ensuring effective communication and alignment of goals. The manager will oversee account costing, provide insights into the development process, and lead initiatives to engage stakeholders in new product introductions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the development of design blocks for Global Lifestyle brands.
  • Serve as a liaison between customers and Central American development teams.
  • Ensure effective process flow, consistent timeliness, and alignment of goals.
  • Act as a subject matter expert regarding customer policies, performance standards, and testing requirements.
  • Collaborate with multiple departments to address business issues and needs.
  • Create and utilize tools to effectively share information.
  • Partner with Product Development and Sales management to align business needs and determine feasibility of new development requests.
  • Lead regular communication efforts to discuss open issues and status updates.
  • Provide customers with insights into the development process and creative solutions.
  • Organize initiatives to engage stakeholders in the development of new fabrics, colors, and silhouettes.
  • Collect feedback from stakeholders and ensure effective communication and clear direction.
  • Oversee account costing and margin analysis for Global Lifestyle Brand accounts.
  • Interact with all levels of the organization and provide reports as needed.
  • Oversee forecasting for sustainable cotton consumption credits.
  • Maintain accurate information in SharePoint for style tracking.
  • Develop and maintain a product development file system and library.
  • Assist with the development of presentations and reports.

Requirements

  • University Degree and 10 years+ of experience.
  • Knitwear product development and manufacturing experience required.
  • Experience in cut-and-sew activewear preferred.
  • Knowledge of activewear manufacturing and construction required.
  • Proficient with reading and understanding product and fabric cost sheets.
  • Basic understanding of knitting and finishing equipment required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Advanced knowledge in customer's computer systems including PLM and digital manuals.
  • Able to work in both office and manufacturing environments.
  • Able to work with cross-functional areas and establish communication networks.
  • Experience with SharePoint a plus.
  • Attention to detail of individual projects within a program objective.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organization, follow-up, and priority management skills.
  • Schedule flexibility and calmness during changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
