About the position

The Manager of Production Control and Inventory at Sonny's Enterprises LLC is responsible for leading a team of analysts to optimize costs, enhance service levels, and improve sustainability through effective inventory management. This role involves overseeing production control planners, collaborating with various departments, and implementing new processes to ensure efficient operations and accurate inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Develop new processes and solutions to improve overall inventory accuracy throughout operations.
• Oversee and lead a team of Inventory Analysts to investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure urgent resolution of inventory discrepancies to minimize operational impact.
• Lead projects aimed at improving inventory management, including SAP improvements.
• Participate in system solutions across Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Design and develop inventory management metrics and reports to support business requirements.
• Ensure proper setup of items in manufacturing to maintain high service levels.
• Partner with Cost Accounting to establish correct processes and authority delegations.
• Direct planners in planning and scheduling activities using MRP software.
• Monitor performance against established schedules and communicate changes to operations leaders.
• Utilize data analytics to monitor inventory levels and supply chain performance.
• Provide guidance and training on inventory management techniques and PFEP principles.
• Drive production control meetings with operations, sales, and purchasing teams.
• Review system-generated reports for root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Establish KPIs to measure effectiveness of production control and inventory management practices.
• Lead key inventory management improvement initiatives and provide data-driven insights.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Logistics.
• Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
• 5+ years of experience in Manufacturing with strong data analytics skills.
• Management experience including employee reviews, relations, training, and development.
• MRP Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP or CPIM) certification.
