About the position

In this global role at Walmart, the Manager of Production for Event Solutions will support the planning and execution of internal and external events. This position involves managing production efforts for live events, building relationships with partners and suppliers, and ensuring that events align with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong people skills, be aware of current trends, and be capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining composure. Reporting to the Senior Director of Production and Events Strategy, this role is critical in delivering world-class events and tailored experiences for target audiences while embodying Walmart's values.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and execution of large-scale events by building relationships with key suppliers and internal partners.
  • Support on-site execution, ensuring seamless resource availability and functionality, including A/V gear, stages, seating, and décor.
  • Collaborate with the team and contribute to Event Solutions initiatives.
  • Communicate event details and timelines to cross-functional teams, define project scope, and coordinate efforts while providing regular progress updates.
  • Manage rehearsal schedules and assist with presentation enhancements and content management.
  • Conduct facility tours and review project milestones to support staffing plans.
  • Provide guidance to suppliers on stage, lighting, audio, and graphic design for optimal attendee engagement.
  • Ensure graphics align with branding guidelines and secure necessary approvals from leadership and stakeholders.
  • Monitor industry trends to identify changes in practices.
  • Identify opportunities for cost efficiencies and innovation for customers.
  • Implement best practices and processes to support Event Solutions.
  • Help resolve implementation challenges to contribute to event success.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional groups to address urgent situations.
  • Analyze business objectives and customer needs to support project direction.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of business strategies and plans.
  • Determine resource needs and support outcome measurement.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and foster a customer-focused environment.
  • Demonstrate adaptability and encourage continuous learning.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in event production management, including work with third-party suppliers.
  • Experience planning and executing large-scale events with various creative and budget considerations.
  • Good negotiation and relationship-building skills, with experience working with industry partners and suppliers.
  • Effective communication and people skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and use available resources effectively.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
  • Creative and analytical thinker.

Nice-to-haves

  • Fluent in English and a secondary language (for example, Spanish, Portuguese, Mandarin).
