About the position

The Manager of Program Management at San Jose Behavioral Health is responsible for overseeing the administrative and clinical operations of the facility, ensuring quality care for patients. This role involves planning and implementing program goals, managing budgets, and directing clinical staff to deliver effective services. The manager will also develop procedures to enhance operational efficiency and maintain compliance with regulations and standards of care.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain administrative and clinical operations that provide quality care and outcomes for patients.
  • Contribute to the planning and implementation of program goals, objectives, personnel, resources, and equipment.
  • Oversee the program's budget and policies regarding participant involvement, program requirements, and benefits.
  • Direct counselors, clinical staff, or other facility staff involved in service delivery through the program.
  • Provide management and oversight for the facility program.
  • Develop and implement procedures to ensure efficient operations of the program.
  • Coordinate care delivery, workflow, and oversee scheduling, registration, discharge, and billing processes.
  • Provide staff management including hiring, development, training, and performance management.
  • Monitor staff schedules to ensure appropriate staffing levels for timely care.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans and maintain audit charts and records for patients.
  • Serve as a liaison and provide consultation on related issues, regulations, and standards.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of operating policies and procedures for the program organization.
  • Provide outreach services in the area of clinical specialty as needed.
  • Demonstrate a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude towards customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in behavioral or mental health or closely related field required.
  • Master's degree in behavioral or mental health required by state for licensed clinicians.
  • Four or more years' experience working with the population of the facility required.
  • One or more years' supervisory experience required.
  • Licensed counselor/therapist, as required by the state and for the area of clinical expertise.
  • Valid driver's license, if required by the facility.
  • CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required.

Nice-to-haves

  • First aid certification may be required based on state or facility.
