About the position

The Manager, Program Manager/Product Realization at Highmark Health is responsible for leading project management efforts to deliver strategic initiatives and critical programs within defined constraints. This role involves overseeing project staff, collaborating with business and technical leaders, and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget. The position requires strong leadership, management, and communication skills to effectively manage a portfolio of key initiatives and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Perform management responsibilities including hiring, coaching, performance management, and staff productivity.
  • Provide leadership and oversight to ensure project delivery on schedule, within scope, and budget.
  • Manage budget and resources, project status reporting, issue and risk management, and project communications.
  • Oversee a portfolio of key initiatives, identifying and resolving project issues and risks.
  • Develop and maintain positive customer relationships with key stakeholders and deliver project status presentations.
  • Ensure compliance with project management tools, methodologies, and audit requirements.
  • Collaborate with management to assemble project teams and work groups.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a project manager role.
  • Leadership experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Health Care Insurance industry and operational processes preferred.
  • Experience managing large, complex projects preferred.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard software development lifecycle preferred.
  • Experience with Portfolio and Project Management Tools preferred.
  • PMP certification preferred.
