About the position

The Project Manager role at Highmark Health is responsible for providing thought leadership and project management expertise to deliver key strategic initiatives and critical programs/projects. This position involves overseeing project staff, collaborating with business and technical leaders, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The role requires strong leadership, management of a portfolio of initiatives, and the ability to develop positive relationships with stakeholders while ensuring compliance with project management methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Perform management responsibilities including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
  • Plan, organize, and control day-to-day operations of the department.
  • Provide leadership and oversight to ensure project delivery meets customer requirements.
  • Manage budget and resources, project status reporting, and risk management.
  • Develop and maintain positive customer relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with project management tools and methodologies.
  • Collaborate with management to assemble project teams and work groups.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a project manager role.
  • Preferred Bachelor's degree.
  • Leadership experience in project management.
  • Knowledge of the Health Care Insurance industry.
  • Experience managing large, complex projects.
  • Familiarity with industry standard software development lifecycle.
  • Experience with Portfolio and Project Management Tools.
