About the position

The Manager, Program Manager/Product Realization at Highmark Health is responsible for leading project management efforts to deliver strategic initiatives and critical programs within defined constraints of scope, quality, time, and budget. This role involves overseeing project staff, collaborating with business and technical leaders, and ensuring the successful execution of projects while maintaining compliance with project management methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for project management staff to ensure timely delivery of projects within scope and budget.
• Manage a portfolio of key initiatives, identifying and resolving project issues and risks.
• Perform budget and resource management, including project status reporting and risk management.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders and deliver presentations on project status.
• Ensure compliance with project management tools and methodologies, contributing to the improvement of project management practices.
• Plan, organize, and direct the day-to-day operations of the department, including hiring and performance management.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a project manager role.
• Preferred leadership experience and knowledge of the health care insurance industry.
• Experience managing large, complex projects and familiarity with industry-standard software development lifecycle.
• Proficiency with Portfolio and Project Management Tools.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Experience with customer relationship management and negotiation skills.
• Strong conflict resolution and risk mitigation planning skills.
