About the position

Nexamp is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manager of Project Finance to drive the company's development and financing strategy in the renewable energy sector. This role involves collaborating with various internal teams to expand Nexamp's portfolio of renewable energy projects, including distributed generation and utility-scale photovoltaic and battery storage assets. The Manager will also mentor a team of associates and analysts, ensuring the successful execution of financial models and strategies that align with Nexamp's mission to build a clean energy future.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine dynamic project and portfolio-level financial models to support the growth of Nexamp's renewable energy portfolio.
  • Manage project and portfolio-level risks, ensuring financial hurdle rates are met and key development objectives are completed.
  • Assist in executing tax equity and debt transactions, including conducting financial analysis and due diligence.
  • Collaborate with business unit leaders to provide insights for tactical and strategic planning.
  • Mentor and guide a team of analysts and associates in creating and maintaining financial models for renewable energy projects.
  • Work with Construction, Community Solar, and Development teams to optimize financing solutions.
  • Identify and develop value propositions leveraging financial incentive programs in target markets.
  • Represent Nexamp professionally in interactions with investors, partners, and vendors.
  • Lead the development of investment theses and value propositions for strategic opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Environmental Studies, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in solar project finance/capital markets.
  • Experience with tax equity and back-leverage debt financing modeling.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Superior organizational and time management skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in renewables, energy, or infrastructure preferred but not required.
