About the position

The Manager of Project Management 3 (Chief of Staff) at Northrop Grumman is responsible for overseeing the operational aspects of the Airborne Platform Solutions Business Unit. This role involves working closely with the BU Vice President and the leadership team to ensure effective and efficient operations, facilitate meetings, and drive strategic initiatives. The position requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate day-to-day operational objectives to meet the BU's financial and non-financial goals.
  • Identify BU focus areas for process improvement and development of operational initiatives.
  • Support the development and execution of the BU's Annual Operating Plan and Long Range Strategic Plan.
  • Prepare BU VP for senior level internal meetings and customer engagements with relevant materials.
  • Set BU business rhythms and coordinate the development and reporting of BU operating objectives.
  • Ensure timely delivery of deliverables required by Division & Sector level business rhythms.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the BU VP and leadership team.
  • Drive execution of strategic initiatives and tasks initiated by the BU VP.
  • Act as a focal point for communication and collaboration among BU functional leaders.
  • Anticipate and manage materials, data, and presentation needs for meetings and events.
  • Organize and implement employee engagement activities such as Town Halls and Leadership Forums.
  • Lead internal special projects as requested by the BU VP.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 12 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 10+ years of experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in meeting all listed duties.
  • Highly advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint skills.
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 25% domestically.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • MS or MBA degree in a technical, business or related field.
  • PMP or similar certification.
  • Strong understanding of Northrop Grumman culture and success in working within the company's organization.
  • Experience with Defense Community customers.
  • Experience with international programs, operations, and businesses.
  • A current Secret or higher clearance.
