About the position

The Manager of Project Management for Event Operations plays a crucial role in coordinating and executing live events, both internal and external, for the organization. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, creativity, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The successful candidate will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure the delivery of world-class events while adhering to the company's values and operational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing the vision and execution of small and large events.
  • Build and maintain relationships with business partners for event planning.
  • Lead onsite execution of small to medium-scale events.
  • Detail project scope, source vendors, and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
  • Help build and implement event budgets, monitoring and enforcing department budgets.
  • Create and distribute logistical communications for events.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance based on internal and external benchmarking.
  • Support and align efforts to meet customer and business needs.
  • Implement business solutions by building relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Monitor progress and results, recognizing improvement opportunities.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures, supporting the company mission and values.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of business strategies and plans.
  • Determine resource needs and support outcome measurement.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and foster a customer-focused environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in event planning and operations management.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in budget management and financial planning.
  • Effective communication and people skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) or other relevant certifications preferred.
