About the position

In this global role at Walmart, the Operations Manager for Event Solutions will support the coordination and execution of live internal and external events. The position requires strong people skills, creativity, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Reporting to the Director of Event Operations, the role is crucial for delivering world-class events and tailored experiences while aligning with Walmart's mission to help people save money and live better.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing the vision and execution of small and large events.
  • Build relationships with partners and suppliers to support organizational goals.
  • Communicate strategies, budgets, and timelines to teams.
  • Lead onsite execution of small to medium-scale events.
  • Detail project scope, source vendors, and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
  • Help build and implement event budgets by monitoring and enforcing department budgets.
  • Create and distribute logistical communications for events.
  • Apply key learnings from internal and external benchmarking.
  • Support and align efforts to meet customer and business needs.
  • Provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Determine and conduct necessary processes and practices.
  • Adapt to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in event planning and operations management.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in budget management and financial planning.
  • Effective communication and people skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) or other relevant certifications preferred.
