About the position

The Project Manager role at Capital One focuses on supporting the Retail and Direct Banking portfolio, particularly in third party/vendor management and governance. The position involves leading projects that drive business value through effective management of real estate transactions and vendor performance. The Project Manager will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of commitments and optimize processes within a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing projects to support key initiatives, including third party/vendor management and oversight.
• Developing and monitoring key performance metrics for vendors.
• Leveraging strong problem solving and influencing skills to ensure projects deliver on intent, and change is implemented when needed.
• Ensuring projects, such as new vendor setup, vendor risk mitigation, vendor performance monitoring, are documented and communicated appropriately to mitigate risk and to be delivered on time.
• Building relationships and collaborating with key stakeholders, including Retail Operations, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Enterprise Service Management, to ensure accurate and timely delivery of commitments.
• Demonstrating a proven track record of excellent project management in a dynamic complex environment.
• Excelling in a dynamic, team-based environment.
• Having excellent communication and partnership skills essential for interacting with key stakeholders at all levels.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Military experience
• At least 3 Years of Vendor Management experience
• At least 4 Years of Project Management experience

Nice-to-haves

• Masters / MBA degree
• 5+ years of Project Management experience
• 5+ years of Vendor Management experience
• PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification
