About the position

The Manager, Projects & Technology, Corporate Engineering at CF Industries is responsible for advancing technology applications within the company's facilities. This role involves providing leadership and support for engineering and construction work on strategic projects, focusing on reducing greenhouse gas emissions and enhancing clean energy initiatives. The position requires collaboration with site teams, technology assessments, and the management of project execution to align with the company's clean energy strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Support and facilitate site teams in construction management and coordination of resources to achieve greenhouse gas emissions reduction goals.
  • Analyze technologies related to hydrogen, ammonia, decarbonization, and clean energy for incorporation into the company's strategy.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with internal leaders across the CF network.
  • Deploy best practices in site engineering scope development, cost estimating, and execution planning.
  • Support the strategic capital budget process, including project identification and prioritization.
  • Recognize and develop talented resources for strategic initiatives and resource sharing.
  • Identify ways to add value through the Corporate Engineering group.

Requirements

  • An engineering degree in a related field is required.
  • 8+ years of work experience in operations or engineering at a chemical manufacturing company or engineering services provider.
  • Experience with capital project scope development and execution.
  • Ability to independently identify and develop innovative solutions to problems.
  • Demonstrated experience managing budgets and coordinating design and installation of modifications to facilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organization, planning, and time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership during technical and commercial decision-making processes.
  • Strong computer skills, proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel globally as required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in contracting outside engineering and construction management resources.
  • Capability of acquiring and maintaining a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) and a Passport.
