About the position

The Manager, Public Relations & Ambassador Marketing is responsible for overseeing the Public Relations and Ambassador Marketing functions for Brother and its subsidiaries. This role involves managing communication activities, developing and executing PR strategies, and implementing ambassador marketing campaigns across various brand channels. The position requires strategic thinking, leadership, and creative storytelling, along with effective budget management and collaboration with internal teams and external agencies to achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage the overall strategy and implementation of PR initiatives for Brother and its Business Units.
  • Develop and execute PR strategies that enhance visibility across the PR landscape.
  • Build and maintain relationships with media outlets across printed, digital, and social platforms.
  • Craft and distribute press releases, arrange interviews, and media train internal teams.
  • Plan and organize press conferences, media briefings, public events, and private events.
  • Anticipate potential PR issues and develop proactive strategies to manage them.
  • Oversee the creation of PR content and ensure consistency with brand voice and messaging.
  • Collaborate with social media teams to ensure brand consistency across platforms.
  • Manage the cadence of touch-base calls with PR and Ambassador agencies to meet deadlines and approve materials.
  • Plan, develop, and implement Ambassador related media campaigns for all product categories.
  • Track content performance by Ambassador and report on impact and lift.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Journalism, Communications, PR, or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in public relations, Ambassador marketing, and social media strategy/implementation.
  • Experience managing a budget and a diverse product portfolio.
  • Strong knowledge of public relations and influencer marketing best practices.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written, interpersonal).
  • Collaboration skills with the ability to work with a variety of stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree in Business, Marketing, Journalism, Communications, PR, or related field (preferred).
  • Knowledge of Media Tracking Platforms like Cision, Hubspot or Meltwater (preferred).
  • Knowledge of Digital PR Tools Prowly, Muck Rack, Prezly or Critical Mention (preferred).
