The Manager of Public Relations & Information Management at the University of Maryland is responsible for overseeing the communication environment for the Institute for Systems Research (ISR). This role involves managing relationships with multiple internal and external clients and target audiences, developing marketing and public relations strategies, and implementing initiatives that enhance the visibility and reputation of the ISR. The manager will directly support the ISR director by providing high-level communication expertise and leadership, ensuring that the office's objectives align with the broader goals of the university and the Clark School of Engineering. In this position, the manager will be tasked with building and maintaining relationships with the media, the university community, and various units within the Clark School. A significant aspect of the role includes developing and managing a comprehensive internet presence for ISR, which encompasses producing high-quality publications in both long and short formats. The manager will also administer and manage ISR information, including research products, faculty, student and alumni achievements, and partnerships with industry and government. The A. James Clark School of Engineering is dedicated to fostering high-quality research and innovation, preparing students to tackle the Grand Challenges of the 21st century.
