The salary for this position ranges from $64,000 to $68,000 annually, and it includes a comprehensive benefits package. In this role, the manager will serve as a model of commitment to the agency's core values and will be responsible for developing public relations strategies that effectively communicate YTF's mission, vision, and core values to both external and internal audiences. The manager will also manage relationships with outside vendors and ensure that public relations efforts align with the organization's immediate and long-term goals. A significant aspect of this position involves donor relations, where the manager will develop and execute plans to attract and solicit donors, focusing on special event planning and coordination with departmental leaders to generate non-grant revenue. The manager will act as an informed advocate, building relationships with donors and business partners to support the agency's mission. Additionally, the manager will engage in community and media relations, advocating for the agency's mission and raising awareness about the challenges faced by low-income and vulnerable populations. This includes representing YTF at key community events and managing communications strategies across various platforms, including social media and the agency's website. The manager will also oversee the monthly food distribution program and volunteer recruitment, contributing to the ongoing strategic planning process of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement public relations strategies to enhance brand awareness and advocacy for You Thrive Florida.
  • Manage relationships with outside vendors and ensure compliance with agency policies and procedures.
  • Develop and execute plans to solicit and attract donors, focusing on special event planning and coordination.
  • Represent YTF at community events and strengthen the agency's positioning and perception in the community.
  • Support and manage communications strategies through various platforms, including social media and the agency's website.
  • Oversee the monthly food distribution program and volunteer recruitment efforts.
  • Act as a media relations conduit, including writing press releases and maintaining media lists.

Requirements

  • A minimum of five years of experience in marketing, communications, donor relations, or a similar industry.
  • Preference for candidates with non-profit experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Communications, Marketing, or a similar field of study is preferred but not required.
  • Valid Florida driver's license and insurable by the company's current insurance carrier.
