About the position

The Manager of Publicity and Communications at Warner Bros. Discovery will play a crucial role in shaping and driving the strategic communications narrative for the company. This position requires a passionate individual with a strong background in the media industry, particularly in areas such as Advertising Sales, Distribution, and Public Affairs. The Manager will collaborate with various teams to execute innovative communication campaigns, manage media relations, and support the company's diverse portfolio of brands.

Responsibilities

  • Strategically manage various external and internal communications, including speeches, press releases, and media pitches.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop and execute PR and social plans for tentpole events.
  • Articulate the vision and partnerships of WBD Revenue and Strategy through media relations efforts and thought leadership opportunities.
  • Plan and staff internal and external events, including industry conferences and speaking engagements.
  • Prepare and maintain briefing documents, communications plans, speeches, pitches, and presentation materials for senior leaders.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Communications in the Media Industry
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Established experience in communications in the media and entertainment industries
  • Proven ability in communications, project management, and planning
  • Professional track record of developing and executing communications strategies
  • Established relationships with members of the press
  • Strong understanding of the media landscape and advertising innovation
  • Familiarity with industry organizations and securing thought leadership opportunities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and multi-task effectively
  • Collaborative approach to working with diverse teams.
