About the position

As a Manager in Purchasing and Supply Chain at Fiserv, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of the supply chain for Fiserv Hardware Solutions in North America. This includes managing forecasting, procurement, transportation, and vendor quality liaison. You will be responsible for controlling over $200 million in annual spend for procurement and an additional $20 million in logistics spend. Your leadership will drive the Procurement department's strategic initiatives and ensure that the supply chain operates efficiently and effectively. In this role, you will develop, monitor, and pursue both strategic and tactical initiatives/projects in specialized areas such as commodities, supplier management, and contract/vendor relationships. You will prepare analytical reports and forecasts to track product costs, ensuring that raw components, materials, and parts are purchased and delivered in a timely manner. Your responsibilities will also include negotiating contracts, analyzing quotations, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to review sourced materials, their costs, and services. You will be expected to recommend changes in purchasing procedures to enhance quality and services while reducing costs. This position requires a strong background in supply chain management, vendor management, and people management, with a focus on achieving operational excellence and cost efficiency. You will be expected to leverage your experience to make data-driven decisions that impact the overall performance of the supply chain.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of Fiserv Hardware Solution's supply chain in North America.
  • Control over $200M in annual spend for procurement and $20M in logistics spend.
  • Develop, monitor, and pursue strategic and tactical initiatives/projects in specialized areas such as commodities and supplier management.
  • Prepare analytical reports and forecasts to track product costs.
  • Purchase and arrange timely deliveries of raw components, materials, and parts.
  • Negotiate contracts and obtain confirmation of deliveries.
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers and review sourced materials, their costs, and services.
  • Recommend changes in purchasing procedures to improve quality and services and/or reduce costs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or Finance, or a combination of experience, education, and military experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in a distribution center or manufacturing environment with distribution.
  • 5+ years of experience in a Purchasing or Transportation role.
  • 5+ years of people management experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in a vendor management related role.
  • Experience with complex Microsoft Excel calculations including VLOOKUP and Pivot tables.
  • Experience creating models based on multiple inputs.

  • LEAN, Six Sigma, or Project Management Certification.
