About the position

Core-Mark is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager for our Purchasing Support Operations team. This role is pivotal in leading a team responsible for catalogue and master data management, as well as executing deal and costing activities. The successful candidate will manage a diverse team across multiple locations and collaborate with various internal stakeholders, including Operations, Merchandising, and Sales. This position is part of a broader transformation journey aimed at simplifying and advancing processes and tools across teams and operating systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to work collaboratively to add value for our customers and suppliers. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the Purchasing Support Operations team, driving measurable execution improvements, and proactively identifying opportunities for process optimization, improved workflow, enhanced reporting, and leveraging technology. You will ensure that pricing and processes adhere to strict compliance with SOX regulations. Additionally, you will perform other related duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the team and the organization. Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day team activities to drive measurable execution improvement.
  • Proactively identify opportunities related to process optimization, improved workflow, enhanced reporting, or leveraging technology.
  • Ensure pricing and processes adhere to strict compliance with SOX regulations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience in a wholesale/retail procurement or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years people management experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years Purchasing related experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows-based programs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent business experience.
  • Familiarity and working knowledge of Purchasing Processes.
  • Experience in Convenience Channel.
  • Proficiency in reporting tools e.g., Power BI.
  • Familiarity and working knowledge of AS400 and SAP.
