About the position
The QA Manager at The PCA Group will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of business applications and web development projects. This role involves leading the establishment of quality assurance processes, collaborating with developers and product managers, and executing test plans to identify defects and ensure applications meet quality standards. The QA Manager plays a crucial role in improving product quality and enhancing the end-user experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and maintain test plans and test cases for business applications.
- Work closely with the development team to understand application functionality and requirements.
- Identify, log, and track defects to resolution, collaborating with developers for timely fixes.
- Perform manual and automated testing using tools compatible with C# and .NET frameworks.
- Create and run manual and automated tests to identify bugs and glitches.
- Ensure compliance with testing standards and best practices.
- Collaborate in Agile ceremonies to support rapid development cycles.
- Provide detailed feedback and suggest improvements for code quality and user experience.
- Test Shopify-specific functionalities like product pages and checkout processes.
- Verify inventory updates and order processing flows.
- Confirm design and functionality consistency across browsers and devices.
- Track and report bugs or inconsistencies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in QA with a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Proficiency in testing frameworks (e.g., NUnit, xUnit) and test automation tools compatible with .NET.
- Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Azure DevOps).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented approach to troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with manual and automated testing tools.
- Experience with API clients like POSTMAN and SOAPUI.
