About the position

The Quality Manager (QM) at Long Wave, Inc. is responsible for fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement across the organization. This role involves developing and executing strategic goals aligned with company objectives, monitoring and enhancing product and service quality through ISO 9001 standards, and serving as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on risk management related to the company's offerings. The QM will interact with various functional areas, customers, and regulatory agencies to ensure quality standards are met and maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Quality Engineering and Inspection functions, supporting all business practices and managing Quality Control Systems.
  • Address and resolve technical challenges while ensuring successful tactical execution of quality initiatives.
  • Formulate and establish company policies, operating procedures, and goals related to quality management.
  • Participate in the program management life cycle and bidding process to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with Program Teams, Functional Organizations, Suppliers, and Customer Representatives throughout the product life cycle.
  • Develop, collect, and analyze key quality measures to identify trends and improve yields.
  • Report to senior leadership on business performance and strategic quality initiatives.
  • Maintain certification and compliance efforts for ISO 9001:2018 and lead transitions to new ISO standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM-related field or technical equivalent.
  • Minimum of 12 years of related experience in Quality Management or Operations Leadership.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, including communication and coaching abilities.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex policy or technical documents.

Nice-to-haves

  • ASQ Certification (CMQ/OE, CQE, CQA, CSSBB).
  • FCC GROL (Ground-Based Radiotelephone Operator's License).
  • Experience with Configuration Control Management practices.
  • Working knowledge of program schedules and critical path management.
  • Experience with J-STD and/or IPC Standard implementation.
