About the position

As a Manager of Quality Engineering for Mobile Apps at Hilton, you will lead a team of QA engineers to ensure the quality of consumer-facing technologies in the hospitality industry. This role involves managing testing processes, collaborating with product and engineering teams, and utilizing data to drive improvements in product quality. You will be part of a dynamic in-house technology team that is committed to innovation and excellence in service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of QA engineers, providing regular performance feedback, evaluation, and coaching.
• Use data from quality metrics to provide insights into product quality and identify areas for improvement.
• Prioritize, plan, and negotiate conflicts or challenges.
• Identify gaps and ideas for continuous improvement of processes.
• Collaborate with others to understand application architecture, risks, and quality needs while providing leadership to your assigned team.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to prioritize test plans and test execution, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and providing quality metrics.
• Partner with QE Managers, Development, and DevOps teams to improve processes and procedures.
• Take ownership of QA, UAT, automation, and/or Post-Release testing of mobile apps.
• Report on quality metrics and assigned deliverables utilizing a variety of technologies.

Requirements

• Five (5) years of professional work experience in Technology or related field.
• Two (2) years of management experience in a Technical role.
• Hands-on experience with product release testing.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's Degree, or Associate's Degree plus 6 years of Technology related experience, or High School Degree/GED plus 12 years of Technology related experience.
• Seven (7) years of professional work experience in Technology or a related field.
• Five (5) years of professional experience with automated testing and Agile Methodologies.
• Experience testing digital wallets, digital payment services, and contactless payments.
• Exposure to large-scale enterprise software products.
