About the position

The Manager, Ready to Reconnect program at Nashville State Community College is responsible for bridging the gap between education and employment by providing pathways to jobs for students and jobseekers in Middle Tennessee. This role involves leading, designing, and implementing the Ready to Reconnect program, which includes developing workforce certification programs and providing holistic support to students from pre-enrollment through post-completion follow-up. The Manager will collaborate with community and institutional stakeholders to ensure the program meets the needs of students, employees, and employers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic planning and development of the Ready to Reconnect program.
  • Manage the project's overarching goals and deliverables, ensuring on-schedule fulfillment of tasks and projects.
  • Support equitable participation and achievement in high-quality pathways that lead to high-demand, high wage careers.
  • Participate in recruitment events on and off campus, including high school fairs, college fairs, and community events, attending evening and weekend events as needed.
  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight for staff assigned to support these projects.
  • Supervise grant personnel, including adjunct faculty and staff.
  • Prepare interim and annual performance reports.
  • Develop a comprehensive plan for assessing participant progress and program effectiveness.
  • Oversee assigned grant and project budgets to ensure compliance and strategic use of resources.
  • Monitor all expenditures in coordination with the finance department and department lead.
  • Prepare and submit all required materials and fiscal transactions related to the grant.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Two (2) years' experience working in higher education, workforce development or related field.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree
  • Community college experience
  • Experience with career and/or college counseling for diverse populations
  • Prior leadership or management experience
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Arabic or Spanish
