About The Position

The Manager of Refugee Program Services at Family Health Centers of San Diego (FHCSD) is responsible for strategically managing and overseeing operations related to health engagement, counseling, case management, and health education services for special populations. This role involves managing both direct and indirect reports, ensuring compliance with grant and regulatory requirements, and building relationships with community partners to enhance service delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Nursing, or closely related field required.
  • Master's degree in relevant field preferred.
  • 3 years of experience working with organizations serving specific patient populations required.
  • 5 years of experience in program management in the health care field required.
  • Ability to travel within San Diego County as needed.
  • Active Class C California driver's license with proof of liability insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Builds positive relationships and inspires staff performance.
  • Coaches and counsels staff, administering disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Gathers and analyzes program data, creating relevant reports.
  • Participates in program evaluation and quality assurance processes.
  • Ensures compliance with grant and regulatory requirements.
  • Identifies and maintains relationships with community and grant partners.
  • Participates in the grant writing process with Foundation and program directors.
  • Oversees daily and strategic operations of assigned programs and grants.
  • Generates plans for maximizing services and participates in continuous improvement activities.
  • Prepares and monitors program budgets, ensuring timely expenditures and adequate revenue.
  • Ensures staff receive necessary training on time.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
