About the position

The Manager - Regional Operations at Avangrid Service Company is responsible for overseeing multiple functional areas within a designated region, including Line, Gas, Meter, Substation, and Field Customer Service. This role involves providing leadership and direction to achieve operational goals, ensuring safety and reliability, and enhancing customer satisfaction. The manager will also handle resource allocation, staff development, process improvements, and project management, while coordinating with various stakeholders and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement annual business plans including O&M and Capital budgets.
• Monitor ongoing progress and reallocate resources as necessary to ensure goal achievement.
• Oversee and evaluate work processes and implement process improvements.
• Create a climate of innovation by encouraging ideas for process improvement.
• Select, train, and develop personnel, guiding and appraising their work.
• Coordinate key contract bids and awards with Procurement.
• Research and resolve invoice processing and payments with Finance and Procurement.
• Ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, policies, and safe work procedures.
• Oversee service restoration processes during electric and gas emergencies.
• Resolve employee relations, labor relations, and customer relations issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 7 years relevant experience, or equivalent required.
• Managerial and leadership skills.
• Creative problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and follow-through skills.
• Prior experience with project management preferred.
• Ability to multitask and set priorities.
• Customer focused.
• Ability to administer budgets, contracts, staffing needs, and performance management goals.

• Leadership experience in a union environment preferred.
