About the position

The Manager of Reporting and Corporate Accounting at Tory Burch will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, technical accounting, consolidations, and statutory reporting. This role requires collaboration with various finance teams and external auditors to ensure accurate and timely financial statements and compliance with US GAAP and SOX requirements. The position emphasizes detail orientation, strategic thinking, and effective communication, making it essential for the candidate to be a subject matter expert in financial reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the preparation of financial statements, cash flows, footnotes, and other supporting documents for quarterly and annual reporting.
  • Oversee quarterly and annual reporting, coordinating with auditors, executives, finance, and legal.
  • Manage the preparation and oversee the statutory reporting and audit process for European entities.
  • Assist with the preparation of the global consolidation.
  • Ensure accurate, compliant, and timely execution of accounting and reporting processes, financial closes, and related reporting.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls for financial reporting to ensure SOX compliance.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to prepare materials and presentations for reporting, including analyst presentations.
  • Ensure proper application of US GAAP to transactions and maintain consistent compliance with accounting policies.
  • Provide ad hoc reporting or technical assistance on transactions as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical accounting, reporting, or financial analysis, preferably in public accounting and/or a publicly traded company.
  • CPA designation.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and SOX requirements.
  • Good understanding of local GAAPs and IFRS.
  • Ability to research and interpret complex accounting issues and provide practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Proven leadership and project management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity.
  • Collaborative mindset to work effectively across functions.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word and Outlook).
  • SAP/BPC experience a plus.
