About the position
The Manager Research Senior Analyst at Stifel plays a crucial role in the quantitative and fundamental analysis of investment products, specifically focusing on Mutual Funds (MFs), Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs), and Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs). This position involves contributing to the creation of recommended product lists and supporting the discretionary management of approximately $9 billion in client assets. The role requires collaboration with investment professionals and the production of research reports to guide investment strategies.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to initial and ongoing qualitative and quantitative analysis on MF, SMA, and ETF product universes.
- Lead or support relationships with MF, SMA, and ETF investment professionals and key account relationship managers.
- Participate in portfolio manager due diligence meetings at Stifel's headquarters.
- Represent the CIO Office Manager Research at due diligence meetings hosted by product providers.
- Collaborate with team members to determine products for discretionary portfolios and recommended lists.
- Write product research reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor investment strategies and recommend changes in status as needed.
- Conduct searches for high conviction investment strategies for product recommendations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business or investment-related concentration.
- 5+ years of investment product research experience preferred.
- Knowledge of MFs, ETFs, and fee-based advisory programs preferred.
- General knowledge of the brokerage industry.
- High performance mindset with a detail-oriented approach.
