About the position

The Research Manager at Arkansas Children's Hospital is responsible for overseeing and managing critical functions of a research program or system. This role includes creating annual budgets, managing personnel, ensuring compliance with regulations, and reporting on research activities. The position requires close collaboration with senior management to ensure that all research studies and programs are executed according to established guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Manages activities of clinical and non-clinical research program staff.
• Ensures studies and/or systems are staffed appropriately and clinical protocols are followed.
• Leads efforts for audits and compliance reviews.
• Has extensive knowledge of applicable regulations and guidelines.
• Creates annual budgets, tracks and forecasts expenditures, and assesses infrastructure needs to support program growth.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
• 5 years of related work experience with at least 1 year of leadership experience.
• Certified Research Specialist (CRS) certification required within 1 year of date of hire.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's Degree in a related field.
• Experience in a clinical research environment.
