About the position

The position involves leading a team within Apple's Retail Engagement & Marketing (REM) organization, focusing on analytics to enhance decision-making and performance across various campaigns and platforms. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to define problem statements, manage data reporting, and implement quality controls while fostering a culture of continuous learning and development among team members.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a small team to define problem statements and develop briefs.
  • Manage cross-functional data reporting and ensure real-time, accurate information.
  • Oversee the end-to-end process of data intake, mining, engineering, and validation.
  • Develop and implement quality controls and departmental standards.
  • Utilize data analytics to derive actionable insights and inform decision-making processes.
  • Develop a comprehensive decision-making framework to foster collaboration and critical thinking.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Lead and mentor direct reports, promoting a culture of continuous learning.
  • Collaborate with leadership and external stakeholders to align initiatives and drive adoption.
  • Stay current with AI innovations and leverage automation solutions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data monitoring, management, and insights extraction.
  • 3+ years of experience leading a team.
  • Proficient in data visualization tools such as Tableau and Raw.
  • Strong SQL skills for effective querying of multiple tables.
  • Experience with statistical modeling techniques like GLM and logistic regression.
  • Understanding of analytical concepts and statistical techniques for hypothesis development and data analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Intelligence or equivalent relevant experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with testing tools such as Adobe Test & Target.
  • Experience with Adobe Analytics and other analytics tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and quantitative abilities.
  • Experience in Snowflake and programming languages like C, C++, or JAVA.
