About the position

The Manager, Retail Finance and Programs at Western Digital Technologies is responsible for overseeing the forecasting process for revenue, operating expenses, and headcount within the Retail segment. This role involves managing a small team, analyzing data to provide business insights, and ensuring accurate program calculations related to retail business trends. The position requires collaboration with various departments to enhance operational efficiency and mitigate risks through process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Manage the forecasting process for Revenue, Opex, and Headcount across the Retail segment with a team of 2-3 people.
• Review business cases for New Products / Platforms.
• Analyze data to provide insights on demand/pricing and optimize business operations.
• Reconcile programs created within the Model N tool with customer data.
• Suggest process improvements to mitigate accounting and operational risks.
• Utilize knowledge of Retail business programs and promotions to ensure accurate program calculations and provide commentary on trends.
• Ensure that expected programs are forecasted and tracked in real-time.
• Conduct deep dives into program-related issues to understand and resolve them.
• Collaborate with analysts and IT to automate or semi-automate solutions for process improvements.

Requirements

• Experience in financial forecasting and analysis within a retail environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and tools such as Model N.
• Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to manage a small team and drive process improvements.
