About the position

The Manager of Retail Marketing at Verano is responsible for overseeing and executing dispensary-focused marketing initiatives aimed at customer acquisition and retention, as well as driving sales of retail products. This role involves leading a team of marketing professionals and collaborating across various marketing disciplines to ensure effective execution of marketing strategies and adherence to timelines. The position requires a strong analytical mindset and the ability to adapt to a dynamic market environment while maintaining a focus on achieving revenue targets.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute marketing plans with objectives, strategies, and tactics to support market growth targets driven by analytical insights.
  • Develop strategies and action plans for retail marketing including promotional events, partner collaborations, and community outreach initiatives.
  • Find efficiencies across a complex and dynamic marketing stack to improve overall program effectiveness throughout owned, earned, and paid media channels.
  • Work cross-functionally with retail, commercialization, and operations to deliver best-in-class marketing to launch and support product roadmaps.
  • Develop strong retail marketing plans that support state revenue targets while maintaining flexibility to adapt to changes in market conditions.
  • Maintain working knowledge of the consumer, markets, and trends to glean insights and develop data-driven plans to capitalize on opportunities.
  • Responsible for adhering to marketing budget KPIs, primarily measured by the success of patient/customer growth, meeting revenue targets, and expanding patient/customer product mix portfolio.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5+ years working in Marketing with a focus on execution, product introduction, and commercialization, cross-channel media strategy and execution.
  • Strategic mindset, with experience in developing business strategies in complex and dynamic business environments.
  • 3+ years in consumer-packaged goods marketing, digital marketing, or retail marketing preferred.
  • Experience leading a team in a matrixed organization.
  • Experience contributing to the retail planning process.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Strong customer focus and relationship orientation.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Regional and national travel required.
