About the position

The Manager, Revenue Accounting at SymphonyAI is responsible for overseeing order to cash operations, evaluating customer contracts in line with ASC 606, and ensuring accurate revenue accounting. This role requires strong analytical skills to assess complex revenue arrangements and the ability to communicate effectively with various teams to establish best practices for revenue recognition. The position reports to the Director of Global Revenue Accounting.

Responsibilities

  • Review and advise on non-standard terms in customer agreements as a member of the deal desk.
  • Draft deal-specific technical accounting memos and policies.
  • Ensure accurate entry of customer contracts into Netsuite and maintain the revenue recognition module.
  • Perform month-end close procedures related to revenue recognition, including reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Prepare analyses and documentation to support results for management and external auditors.
  • Evaluate accounting implications of new product introductions and commercial models, operationalizing requirements in Netsuite.
  • Develop operational expertise to enhance efficiency and reporting, becoming the primary Netsuite ARM expert.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field; Big 4 CPA is a plus.
  • 4 - 6 years of revenue recognition experience, preferably in public accounting and the Software/SaaS industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of ASC 606.
  • High level of expertise in MS Excel (8 out of 10); proficiency in Netsuite is strongly preferred; knowledge of SQL, Alteryx, or other analytical tools is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external auditors.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate multiple scenarios and communicate conclusions effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple projects.
