GIA is an independent function whose primary role is to help the Board and Executive Management to protect the assets, reputation, and sustainability of the Group. GIA will adhere to the Definition of Internal Auditing, the Core Principles for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing, Code of Ethics and the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing that are published by the Institution of Internal Auditing (IIA). All members of GIA strive to operate as role models for the Group's valued behaviours. The GIA Chief Operations Officer (COO)'s team supports the GIA COO in management of the GIA function. The role of Manager, Risk Assessment & Planning Insight (GIA, COO), works within the GIA COO team, to provide analytics, insight and visualisation to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of GIA risk assessment and planning processes and outcomes. Specifically: Aligned to GIAs functional strategy, develop and influence GIA to improve the consistency and quality of reporting through data led analysis and insight. Maintain strong relationships with the GIA Leadership Team to influence/change behaviours to ensure risk assessment is a continuous activity as opposed to annual/bi-annual input to the planning process. Inspire and engage all stakeholders (MT to every auditor) to develop a continuous improvement mindset for risk assessment, reinforcing its value and purpose. Develop the report writing skills and visualisation skills of the team through coaching, mentoring, and training.
