About the position

The Manager of Risk Management is responsible for developing and implementing advanced fraud mitigation strategies within consumer lending portfolios. This role involves leading initiatives from conceptualization through data analysis to final rollout, focusing on enhancing risk strategies that support financial inclusion and responsible credit access.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze fraud trends and industry best practices to inform risk strategies.
  • Evaluate the performance of fraud prevention strategies and vendor solutions.
  • Provide insightful reporting to senior management for data-driven decisions.
  • Contribute to the evaluation of alternative data sources and technology-driven solutions.
  • Support business units by developing innovative fraud detection strategies.
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards for decision-making processes.
  • Leverage data management tools to design strategic responses to business inquiries.
  • Gather and analyze data, design workflows, and identify key data relationships.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to implement automation solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Finance).
  • 2+ years of professional experience managing fraud risk in fintech or financial services organizations.
  • 2+ years of experience working for a lending company preferred.
  • Demonstrated skill and experience with SQL, Tableau, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Prior experience leveraging large and complex datasets for business decisions.
