About the position

The Safety Manager is a vital member of the Risk Management Team at Williams-Sonoma, Inc., responsible for enhancing safety compliance across Stores, Corporate Offices, and Supply Chain functions. This role focuses on advocating for safety procedures, ensuring compliance with OSHA requirements, and positively impacting safety and injury trends through collaboration with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Advocate on all elements of safety for locations, districts, and brands by ensuring a viable safety program.
  • Ensure that activities comply with OSHA requirements and perform data collection in response to safety agencies.
  • Work with store locations to implement a comprehensive Food Safety Program.
  • Conduct Hazard and Safety Program Assessments to identify compliance levels and opportunities for improvement.
  • Perform Loss Analysis to identify key injury areas and necessary corrective measures.
  • Communicate safety and injury trend results and recommendations to various stakeholders including District Managers and Human Resources.
  • Conduct training for managers and associates on compliance topics such as Industrial Trucks, Fall Protection, and OSHA Standards.
  • Partner with the Claims Department to identify opportunities and successes related to employee, customer, and vendor safety trends.

Requirements

  • Effective educator with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with requirements related to Industrial Trucks.
  • Willingness to travel for work duties.
  • Knowledge of Food Safety or willingness to be certified as a Food Safety Manager.
  • Experience and knowledge in Industrial Hygiene.
