About the position

The Bastian Solutions Robotics Applications Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the applications team, overseeing all facets of Application Engineering and Solution Development. This role involves collaboration with marketing staff for literature production, strategic market planning, and account management. The manager will work closely with the management team and other Application Group managers to ensure effective communication and project execution. Success in this role relies on strong leadership, organization, and technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the applications team and oversee Application Engineering and Solution Development.
• Collaborate with marketing staff for literature production and strategic market planning.
• Manage existing customer accounts and assist in penetrating new accounts.
• Work closely with management and other Application Group managers.
• Mentor new Application Engineers and support existing team members.
• Review and approve designs, proposals, and estimates delivered to customers.
• Perform annual performance evaluations for direct reports.
• Analyze opportunities to determine appropriate margins for projects.
• Maintain a positive and organized office environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.
• Master's Degree in Business or Engineering or P.E. is a plus.
• Strong technical applications background with proven account penetration ability.
• Experience in generating and executing strategic marketing plans.
• Expertise in using and managing CRM systems.
