About the position

CVS Pharmacy, Inc., a CVS Health company, is seeking a Manager for Rx Product Development in Woonsocket, RI. This role is pivotal in producing business and market intelligence to support pharmacy product innovation and development. The Manager will synthesize business intelligence and retail pharmacy business trend data to provide recommendations that enhance patient adherence to medications. This involves devising methods for identifying data patterns and conducting complex analyses of large, often messy datasets. The position requires brainstorming, testing, analyzing, and building products and services aimed at improving patient health outcomes. The Manager will oversee the timely flow of business intelligence to stakeholders and coordinate with IT partners to create software requirements that facilitate successful product pilots, scalable across 10,000 retail pharmacies. This role also includes leading the diagnosis, solution development, and planning for new strategic products or services that leverage the company's data assets and delivery methods. The Manager will be responsible for developing a narrative and accompanying presentation that summarizes findings across initiatives, along with specific recommendations for the executive management team. Additionally, the Manager will generate reports that summarize data for senior leadership to track the results of new initiatives, refine and automate reports to regularly update business insights, and conduct ad-hoc data pulls from company databases as required. Providing feedback to junior team members on data analysis and driving their professional development is also a key responsibility. The role involves identifying new opportunities for the retail business supported by analytics intelligence and developing innovative strategies to achieve results across pharmacies. Responsibilities

  • Synthesize business intelligence and retail pharmacy business trend data to support recommendations for helping patients adhere to medications.
  • Devise methods for identifying data patterns and conduct complex analysis of large and sometimes messy data sets.
  • Brainstorm, test, analyze, and build products and services that drive patient health outcomes.
  • Manage the timely flow of business intelligence to stakeholders and coordinate with IT partners to create software requirements that support successful product pilots.
  • Lead the diagnosis, solution development, and planning for new strategic products or services that incorporate the company's data assets and delivery methods.
  • Develop a story and accompanying deck that concisely summarize findings across initiatives and create specific recommendations for the executive management team.

Requirements

  • Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Data Science, Analytics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Two (2) years of experience in new product development.
  • Two (2) years of experience in data analysis, cleansing, and transformation, and advanced analytics.
  • Two (2) years of experience collaborating with stakeholders on analyzing technical needs and gathering reporting requirements.
  • Two (2) years of experience designing and implementing robust analytic and reporting solutions.
  • Two (2) years of experience accessing data, designing summary data layers, and manipulating large datasets using SAS or SQL.
  • Two (2) years of experience reporting analytics findings including visualization of data and results in a variety of formats including MS PowerPoint.
