About the position

The Manager, Sales Enablement at American Equity Investment Life Insurance Company is responsible for enhancing sales excellence by providing key reporting metrics and data-driven insights. This role involves developing tools such as dashboards and analytics to support the company's go-to-market strategy and improve the effectiveness of the sales team in engaging with financial professionals and partner firms.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the team responsible for data management, interpretation, and analysis to support proposals and decision-making.
  • Execute complex data-related analytical projects that drive business decisions and efficiencies.
  • Design and implement metrics, scorecards, and reporting to amplify the impact of the business unit.
  • Oversee CRM configuration and its implementation.
  • Develop sales and management dashboards in collaboration with Heads of Sales and National Accounts.
  • Create propensity and next best action modeling to enhance sales efforts.
  • Manage the sales compensation platform and ensure successful processing of monthly compensation for the sales force.
  • Analyze firm trends and sales effectiveness in collaboration with the Head of National Accounts.
  • Support new business development through analytics on prospect firms.
  • Train wholesalers and bank/broker dealer contacts on financial planning and product comparison tools.
  • Develop and maintain training for various sales roles on products, CRM, and reporting systems.
  • Manage multiple projects and initiatives for relationship management and business development.
  • Generate data, create reports, and conduct analysis for internal departments.
  • Maintain reports on cost-of-sales and ROI for partner firms.
  • Develop and maintain written procedures for Sales Enablement and Business Analyst processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, business analytics, or a related field.
  • Four years of progressively responsible experience in business analysis supporting marketing or sales functions.
  • Extensive knowledge in Microsoft Excel and CRMs such as SalesForce.
  • Experience in executing complex data analysis and modeling projects.
  • Knowledge of business intelligence tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in business development, marketing, and sales support best practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical journals and financial reports.
