About the position

The Manager of Sales Enablement at Disney Advertising is responsible for driving growth and transformation in sales automation, specifically focusing on programmatic enablement. This role involves collaborating with internal sales stakeholders and third-party vendors to gather business requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and manage the implementation of automation solutions. The position requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively across various departments to enhance the sales process and drive revenue growth.

Responsibilities

  • Capture business needs and requests from internal sales stakeholders reflecting qualitative and quantitative feedback along with marketplace insights and trends.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on programmatic and automation technical systems and internal tools to inform business requirements for enhancements or new capabilities.
  • Act as the primary business liaison with third-party vendors enabling automation services, collaborating with ad platform technology teams to prioritize sales needs and roadmaps.
  • Stay updated with emerging industry partners, identifying beneficial opportunities and advising on implementation.
  • Translate gathered business needs into product requirements for collaboration with ad technology and product teams on delivery and development.
  • Manage complex multi-departmental executions in conjunction with the ad platform team, communicating project timelines and status to internal sales leadership.
  • Provide post-launch support by documenting final product capabilities and use cases for product marketing.
  • Support Product Marketing in developing positioning and materials for the marketplace or sales.
  • Develop training and development materials for internal users regarding automation and programmatic support.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in sales enablement, programmatic operations, digital product management, ad technology, platform management, media consulting, or similar fields.
  • Advanced technical understanding of programmatic ad technology.
  • Marketplace knowledge of programmatic vendors, capabilities, and trends.
  • Proven ability to conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis and synthesize results into strategy and presentations.
  • Highly skilled in Excel for data analysis and summarization.
  • Proficient in creating professional executive-facing presentations using PowerPoint or Keynote.
  • Experience with Atlassian's Confluence and JIRA tools for tracking workstreams.
  • Experience in creating go-to-market and learning and development training materials for technical products, preferably in the programmatic field.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a highly matrixed environment with peers and senior leadership.

Nice-to-haves

  • Hands-on experience with programmatic operations, trafficking, and reporting at SSP, DSP, agency, or publisher.
  • Knowledge of Google's programmatic end-to-end pipes (GAM, AdX, DV360).
  • Experience with Digital Ad Servers and Ad Sales Management Systems.
  • Familiarity with digital sales industry standard measurement providers (Nielsen, MOAT, etc.).
  • Proficient in media math and working knowledge of data platforms.
  • Knowledge of IAB standards and guidelines.
  • Product management experience leading complex technical projects within the digital advertising industry.
