About the position

The Manager of Sales Operations for America is responsible for leading and evolving the customer experience to a world-class level. This role involves managing sales operations, order fulfillment, and program activities while providing operational support to regional sales and account managers. The position focuses on maximizing revenue through effective customer communication, timely product deliveries, and the integration of new products into customer operations. The manager will also resolve escalated customer complaints and implement processes to enhance customer profitability through improved operational execution.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Sales Operations support from price quotes through order fulfillment, backlog management, and general customer inquiries.
  • Ensure orders, shipments, and deliveries meet customer requirements and company guidelines, minimizing chargebacks.
  • Oversee the customer request for quote (RFQ) process to ensure timely processing by support representatives.
  • Coordinate with Accounting on revenue recognition, credit approval, and accounts receivable management.
  • Maintain data integrity of Point of Sale data in the ERP system.
  • Analyze sell-through data to manage customer inventory levels and align with sales goals.
  • Perform sales analytics and reporting against key performance indicators.
  • Administer ERP systems and implement changes for process improvements.
  • Work with senior sales leadership to define performance measurements and management programs.
  • Provide leadership to ensure alignment and transparency across departments.
  • Apply project management concepts to define and implement processes with the Information Systems team.
  • Implement process improvements to support business growth and scalability.
  • Partner with customers on supply chain initiatives to improve performance.
  • Identify cost savings opportunities and implement operational efficiencies.
  • Drive customers to implement EDI order and RMA processing.
  • Initiate Collaborative Planning, Forecasting, and Replenishment (CPFR) processes with key customers.
  • Create and implement scorecard review processes with key customers.
  • Establish weekly customer metrics highlighting trends by customer and channel.
  • Facilitate customer-specific marketing programs and promotions.
  • Focus on internal and external audits to ensure compliance with SOD's and SOX's requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in sales operations, supply chain management, and team management.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
  • Experience with Sales Order module, preferably Oracle.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, especially Excel (charts, pivot tables, vlookup).
  • Extensive knowledge of Logistic Networks.
  • Demonstrated success in sales operations or management, including strategic planning and execution.
  • Strong leadership skills to provide direction and feedback to team members.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proven ability to resolve inquiries and issues efficiently.
  • Strong project management and meeting facilitation skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with consumer electronics channels.
  • Understanding of product life cycle management.
  • Experience implementing OM ERP Systems focused on fulfillment and backlog management.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $120,000—$150,000 USD based on experience and qualifications.
