About the position

SiriusXM is seeking a Sales Research Analytics Manager to support its revenue organization by providing critical data and analytics related to advertising sales opportunities. This role is pivotal in conceptualizing and generating large-scale projects and initiatives that the revenue organization can leverage both before and after sales. The Sales Research Analytics Manager will play a key role in facilitating ad revenue growth by surfacing relevant and actionable insights in a meaningful way. This position is highly technical and requires a unique and wide-ranging set of skills. The ideal candidate will be proficient in processing large data sets, distilling them into digestible insights, and communicating findings clearly and concisely. A high level of proficiency in SQL is essential for this role, as it will involve working with various data sources including usage logs, analytics platforms, ad delivery reports, and third-party research. The Sales Research Analytics Manager will also be responsible for fielding ad hoc requests from the revenue organization that require advanced proficiency in SQL and Excel, producing marketing collateral to aid various teams within the ad sales organization, ensuring regular reports are refreshed and delivered under tight deadlines, and assisting in the conceptualization and maintenance of business intelligence tools.

Responsibilities

  • Support the sales organization by providing valuable insights from various data sources including usage logs, analytics platforms, ad delivery reports, and third-party research.
  • Field ad hoc requests from the revenue organization that require advanced proficiency in SQL and Excel.
  • Produce marketing collateral to aid various teams within the ad sales organization.
  • Ensure regular reports are refreshed and delivered under tight deadlines.
  • Assist in the conceptualization and maintenance of business intelligence tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Analytics, Math, Economics, Statistics or related quantitative field.
  • 4-5 years experience in an analytical role in a digital media environment.
  • 4-5 years' experience with SQL framework and query scripting (Google Cloud Platform, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Hive/Hadoop experience).
  • Experience with ad serving solutions such as DFP, Atlas, etc.
  • Knowledge of third-party syndicated research services such as comScore and Nielsen.
  • Data visualization experience with Tableau.
  • Expert-level Microsoft Excel skills and proven Microsoft PowerPoint skills.
  • Thorough understanding of digital advertising.
  • Good public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to 'internal client' and customer service principles.
  • Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects.
  • Creative writing ability.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $95,000 to $142,000 depending on skills, qualifications, and experience.
  • Eligibility for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives.
